Performance Management Training

Performance Management activities include setting expections, observing performance, providing feedback, coaching, recognizing and rewarding, and delivering year-end performance reviews. Of course, it's important for staff and their supervisors to hold more informal check-ins quarterly or mid-year, depending on what works best in each department.

Training on Performance Management Best Practices will be held again in Fall 2015 - Date TBD.

In Spring 2013, SMC launched a new web-based system for year-end performance reviews called GAELPerform. Every year, just after the GAELPerform e-appraisal process is opened, training for new and returning GAELPerform Users is offered. Please watch for announcements about these 1-hour training sessions that focus on writing self-reviews and staff reviews using the GAELPerform system.
