Setting up the Headset for the GaelPhone Web Client

BEST PRACTICE - Make sure your computer, as well as the GaelPhone Web Client recognizes your headset.

 

Most headsets are plug-and-play, meaning you plug it in, your computer instantly recognizes it and it is immediately functional. However, some headsets may not easily plug-and-play, which means you will have to do a little setup before use.

MAC users:

  1. Click the Apple logo at the top left corner of your computer screen.
  2. Click System Preferences.
  3. Click Sound.
  4. In the Output area, make sure your headset is selected in the Select a Device for Sound Output box.
  5. In the Input area, make sure your headset is selected in the Select a Device for Sound Input box.
  6. Close the System Preferences screen.

 

PC users:

  1. Right-click the speaker icon at the bottom right corner of your computer screen. Click Playback Devices.
  2. At the Sound screen, locate the headset, then click Set as Default
  3. Click the Recording tab.
  4. Locate and select the headset. Click Set as Default.
  5. Click Apply and click OK.

 

In the GaelPhone Web Client:

  1. Click the 3-dot icon at the top right corner of the screen. Click Settings.
  2. In Input and Output, make sure the headset is selected in the Microphone menu and in the Speaker menu.
