Jan Term Fitness Opportunities

Campus Recreation offers a variety of fitness services for students during Jan Term. Virtual opportunities include an endless range of activities through the nationwide recreation movement that started the Summer of 2020.  Click here to explore and register.  Anyone with an SMC email address can access it.  We also have two virtual sessions weekly offered by our student instructor.  Students can register here for Hannah’s High-Intensity Workout and Core Pilates. 

Residential students are able to reserve a lap swim lane, book a spin bike or rowing machine for a cardio workout, and register for an in-person fitness session. With the campus currently in “Purple” for its tier status, the services offered are outdoors. Registration is simple and can be done through the Campus Rec App.

Spin with Beckie

In-Person 

Join Beckie in her 45 min in-person spin class on Mondays at 4:00pm. This cardio intense class will get your heart rate going!  Make sure to bring a towel and water bottle for your ride!

HIIT with Hannah

Virtual

High-Intensity Interval Training with Hannah.  Join Hannah virtually on Monday's at 12:00pm.

Kettlebell with Koda

In-Person

Koda is teaching Kettlebell on Tuesday's at 3:00pm.  This kettlebell class is a total body workout that will strengthen all of the key muscles in the body!

Core Pilates with Hannah

Virtual

Hannah will lead our in-person core training with a pilates focus.  Join her virtually on Tuesday's at 12:00pm

Learn to Swim w/ Beckie

In-Person

Join Beckie in the pool on Thursday's at 4:00pm to improve your swim skills. This class is designed to help beginner and intermediate students. Bring goggles if you have them.

Quick Core with Koda

In-Person

Join Koda on Wednesdays at 4pm. This core class will include 30 minutes of moderate core-focused exercises to strengthen your abdominal and back muscles while increasing flexibility. This class is great for anyone who wants to lose weight, achieve more well-defined abs, improve posture and increase overall strength.
