KALW Radio Talks with KSOE Professor & Poet Raina León

To mark national poetry month, the KALW radio program "Your Call with Rose Aguilar" interviewed KSOE Assistant Professor and accomplished poet Raina León about the role poetry plays in today's digital world. In her show "What role does poetry play in your life?"  Aguilar (a Saint Mary's alumna) spoke with León about her journey as a poet, the tranformative power of poetry and her perceptions about the many options that digital platforms, such as You Tube and Facbook, offer in distributing poetry through text, audio and even as tweets through Twitter. Leon also discussed her forthcoming book of poetry "Boogeyman Dawn," scheduled for release in 2013.  Listen to Raina León on the Your Call Radio program "What role does poetry play in your life?"
