KTVU-TV, Patch Outlets Report on River of Words Ceremony

River of Words painting "Fish"The Sunday, June 15 10 p.m. newscast of KTVU-TV reported on the annual River of Words International Youth Creativity Awards ceremony at Saint Mary's. KTVU news covered two Bay Area winners: 15-year-old Megan Amaglio of Larkspur and 16-year-old Zoe Kaiser from San Francisco.

The duo shared the Shasta Bioregion Prize which honors poetry that recognizes Northern California watersheds. The KTVU story was shared with its sister news stations in Salinas, CA and Reno, NV.

The ceremony, which honored thirteen remarkable young poets and artists, ranging from age 7 to 17, was also covered by the Lamorinda, Santa Cruz and Watsonville Patch outlets. For more information about the contest, visit stmarys-ca.edu/row.
