Most of the Library’s periodical subscriptions are included in electronic publisher journal packages or databases that aggregate multiple publisher’s content.
With nearly 200 databases accessible from the Library’s website, resources available include periodical indexing and full-text databases, e-books, handbooks and encyclopedias, statistics, directories, images and music.
The Library’s distinctive Special Collections include the 5000-volume Library for Lasallian Studies and the 5000-volume Cardinal Newman and His Times, most of which has been scanned and made publically available through the Internet Archive.
The Library collection reflects the combined efforts of librarians and faculty. The policy guiding the development of the collection is available through the Collection Development Policy. Each department or program assigns a faculty-library liaison to work with a Librarian Subject Selector to solicit collection suggestions from faculty, review the collection for strengths and weaknesses, and to inform the Library about new curriculum developments.
