For the first time, the Saint Mary's College Library is providing alumni access to a selection of our academic databases, beginning with Vault Career Intelligence and Project MUSE. We're confident these resources will reaffirm the entire Gael community's dedication to lifelong learning, global engagement, and continued achievement in the scholarly and professional arenas. Request your alumni access now.
Job searches, career changes, and promotions will all be fueled by the exclusive career development resources in Vault Career Intelligence, now available to students and alumni thanks to support from the Library, the Alumni Office, and Undergraduate Academics. Vault opens a window on the real life experience of working in specific industries, companies, and professions. Vault's company rankings, ratings, and reviews are compiled via ongoing, targeted surveys of working professionals and students within those industries, companies, and professions. Those sources also provide reviews of work environment, salaries, interview processes, and other day-to-day workplace experiences. Vault's collection of more than 150 e-books provide guidance on interviewing and writing resumes and cover letters, plus background on a wide variety of career paths, including accounting, law, engineering, nonprofits, healthcare, politics, sports, consulting, and many more.
Project MUSE provides humanities and social science content from more than 120 of the world's finest university presses and scholarly societies. The MUSE journal collections have supported research needs at a wide array of academic, public, special, and school libraries, making it an invaluable resource for SMC scholars on-campus and around the world.
SAGE Business Cases is the first digital collection tailored to library needs, providing librarians, faculty, and students with cases to support their curriculum and independent research. Launching with 1,000 cases from around the world, this collection will grow to 2,500 case studies by 2018.
Sage Journals provides full-text access to over over 460 journals published by SAGE Publications, primarily in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology and Medicine.
