Montessori Early Childhood

The mission of the Early Childhood Education Program is to prepare caring, competent, and inspired teachers and administrators who will work with a diverse population of children ages 2 through 8 years old and their families in a variety of early childhood settings as they become agents of positive social change.  The program also prepares students for leadership roles in Early Childhood Education (ECE) college teaching, public policy, and parent education programs and other administrative positions.  Our students are supporting in becoming leaders who affirm and promote the essential goodness, dignity and freedom of all people. Our students are provided a strong theoretical and practical foundation with opportunities in 3 possible areas of concentration.  Graduates are eligible to apply to our doctoral program.  Acceptance into any KSOE graduate degree program requires a separate application and acceptance process from the credential and certification programs.
