Praying Together

The Mission and Ministry Center offers this reflection and prayer

It is understandable that many of us are anxious at this time when the health and well-being of our worldwide community is affected. Since COVID-19 has impacted us right here in the Bay Area, we are especially on high alert.

Perhaps it is also important during times like these to remember that we are in the holy presence of God, even as difficult as that thought might seem. Just as we are preparing ourselves mentally and physically, we also want to be spiritually prepared as a community of faith. We turn our minds and hearts to God in prayer, trusting that all our actions will be guided and impelled by love, rather than fear.

Those who have died, those who mourn their loss, those quarantined, those who are most vulnerable to be infected, those in the healthcare profession, and so many more are in need of our prayers at this time. We also offer a prayer of gratitude for all who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help make our campus safe, healthy, and ready for such an uncertain time.

Please know that the staff of the Mission & Ministry Center is available to be a resource. We also invite you to take a moment to consider this prayer offered by Pope Francis to seek for protection of all during this pandemic.  Prayer to Our Lady by Pope Francis   As we take the necessary precautions, let us not be paralyzed by the distress or dismay, for our faith is our strong foundation.

St. John Baptist de La Salle...pray for us.

Our Lady, Health of the Sick...pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts...forever.

Together in prayer,

The Mission and Ministry Staff
