Morgan Hill Times Reports on Alumna's Leadership Role as Local Principal

The Morgan Hill Times, which serves communities in Silicon Valley, reports on Elvia Teixeira, who obtained her master's degree in educational leadership from SMC and is now a new principal for a local elementary school. Teixeira will assume the role of top administrator for the Jackson Elementary School in July. For the last three-and-a-half years, the Saint Mary's alumna has been the coordinator of English Learner Support for the Contra Costa County Office of Education and possesses more than 20 years of experience as an educator, working as an elementary school teacher, a principal at Washington Elementary in San Leandro and vice principal for the Pittsburg Unified School District.
