When I dream
I see my people,
my mountain
and my homeland
The high beautiful
Himalayas. The sun
bright on the hills.
I remember the blue
threads of my friends sari
and the designs
on her mother’s jama.
I miss my homeland,
my powerful mountain
and my kind people.
