New Regents Named
Robin John Driscoll '88 was named president of the board of regents at a meeting of the board in May 2005. In addition, six new regents were elected in 2005: John Araudon, Martin Haley, Fred Naranjo, Wendy Nieto, Joseph Siler, and Kenneth Vincent.
Driscoll is president of the Driscoll Family Foundation and a director of BroadWare Technologies, a Web-based compression video technology company. His brother Joseph graduated from Saint Mary's in 1992, and his niece Erin is a senior at the College.
John Araudon '81 is president of Concord Mitsubishi. His mother, Carolyn Arnaudon, received her graduate degree from Saint Mary's in 1986.
Martin Haley '56 established Martin Haley Mediation Services in Sacramento after a successful career as an attorney. He was president of the alumni association from 1988-89. His daughter Ann is a 1989 SMC graduate, and his deceased father-in-law, Frank G. Finnegan, was a 1929 graduate.
Fred Naranjo is president of Scarborough Insurance Agency. Awarded Congressional recognition for community service in 2005, Naranjo has helped raise more than $11 million for Saint Luke's Hospital and scholarship funds for high-risk students.
Wendy Nieto '01 is executive vice president and CFO for Intraware, an Orinda-based software and management technology company. A certified public accountant, she received her MBA from the College in 2001.
Joseph Siler '62, a retired lawyer in Orange County, is one of more than 30 members of the Siler family who have graduated from Saint Mary's and who have endowed the Anna Marie Siler Endowed Scholarship at SMC. Siler served on the alumni association board from 1993-96. His three daughters, Cindy '88, Cathy '90, and Julie '92, all graduated from Saint Mary's.
Kenneth Vincent '52 is a retired manager of Chevron Texaco Corporation. He and his wife, Patricia, established the Ken and Pat Vincent Endowed Scholarship at SMC.
