New York Times Cites Invasive Species Research by Biology's Michael Marchetti

New York TimesA New York Times story examining the real, and perceived, threats to the environment from invasive species references the research of Fletcher Jones Professor of Biology, Michael Marchetti. The story notes Marchetti’s study of concerns about species that are endangered in their native habitats, yet thrive in a new ecosystems and then begin to threaten the native species of that new environment. His paper “The conservation paradox of endangered and invasive species” was released earlier this year and was co-authored with CSU Chico Biology Professor Tag Engstrom. Read the NYT article
