Impact of Brothers on my life
"I have always been and continue to be impressed by the Brothers’ devotion, their passion and their love, their real love, for the students entrusted to their care. It’s awe-inspiring that they give up their life for me. That doesn’t mean that they don’t have a good life, that they don’t enjoy themselves. But I think of the beauty that is my family, the gift that is my marriage, the joy that is my son. They experience that through us, because they’re giving their life to us. Think of Raphael Patton, or Kenneth Cardwell, or Donald Mansir — I can’t put into words the love that I have for them. And now I’m working at a Brothers school because of that same love, that same mission, that same gift that they give. I wouldn’t be who I am today, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today if it weren’t for them."
