Felicia Martinez

Overview

Professional Overview:

Felicia Martinez’s passion for liberal arts teaching and learning has found a true home in the collegial environment of the Integral Program. The wide curiosity of her colleagues, and of the Integral students, greatly inspires her own research and writing on conceptions of personhood in literature and philosophy; her publications are presently on works as various as William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying, Miguel de Cervantes’ Don Quixote, and Joseph Conrad’s Lord Jim. She enjoys teaching across the curriculum in Integral, but finds particular joy in the intricacies of the First Year and Sophomore mathematics sequences. She also loves a good sonnet sequence, and always looks forward to exploring the rhythms of language with students in the Junior Language tutorial.
