Support CILSA Students: Triple Your Gift Today

The Mulvaney Family Head+Heart+Hands Endowment Fund supports students in several CILSA programs, including Public Service Internship, Jumpstart, and the MICAH Summer Fellowship. We are aiming to raise $1M for this fund, and to help this effort, dedicated supporters Karen and Tom Mulvaney have agreed to triple match every gift for an additional $500K! Make your gift today and positively impact students and communities for generations to come.

Karen and Tom share: “Today more than ever, there is great urgency to support this Endowment. Students must have practical leadership skills that embrace community-building, inclusive excellence, racial and social justice, and which address income inequality. This next generation of students must be part of solving difficult issues such as racism.

We are especially grateful for the unwavering support we received from President Jim Donahue and his wife Jane Purinton, since the launch of this Endowment. We are honoring their leadership and commitment to CILSA ideals with our Endowment Challenge."

Alejandra Pinto-Garcia ’19 reflects, "Through CILSA I have learned to listen to where my heart is leading me. CILSA has been central to my time at Saint Mary's...I've learned that the time to act is now. I am especially grateful to have found others who share a common purpose."

Karen and Tom remain personally connected with the students they meet through CILSA programs, and often say, “You are now members of our family.”

The Mulvaneys continue their leadership with a new gift of $250,000 and are encouraging the College, and its supporters, to join in the efforts to raise $1M for CILSA’s Head+Heart+Hands Endowed Fund. In fact, Karen and Tom are so passionate about this Endowment that they have agreed to triple every gift -- for up to an additional $500,000 investment from them!
