Engaging Solitude for Leadership Effectiveness

What: Engaging Solitude for Leadership Effectiveness

When: Saturday, April 2, 2016, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Where: Filippi Academic Hall Room 115, Saint Mary's College of California

Solitude is a lost art in these times of ultra-connectedness.  Many leaders and prospective leaders find it difficult to disengage or disconnect, even briefly, from laptops, tablets, cell phones, e-mail, social media, video messaging, electronic calendars, etc.  Modern communication wizardry has its place, but we can end up being servants to it and diminishing our abilities to lead and inspire.  While the energy and beauty of the connected global community is stunning, there is a need to step back and replenish the soul from time to time.  One of the best ways to regain perspective -- and liberation -- is by seeking, and enjoying, solitude.

The workshop is free for SMC alumni, prospective students, and Leadership guests. If you are not an SMC alumni member, prospective student, or Leadership guest, please use our online payment form to purchase tickets ($25/each).
