In Support of Scholarships

Saint Mary's owes our identity and existence to a bold idea—a revolutionary idea for the 17th century in which it was conceived—that education is not just the special right of an elite class, but a life-changing privilege of any person with the will and the promise to rise above impediments to learn and succeed. This mission of the Christian Brothers calls us to provide an accessible education, uniquely crafted of the highest quality and made possible through the support of student scholarships.

How can I provide Scholarship support?

By making a gift to Scholarships at Saint Mary's College you are supporting every Gaels' journey to commencement, as 88% our undergraduates, and many of our graduate students, rely on financial assistance each and every year. Thousands of alumni, parents, and friends allocate a portion of their philanthropic giving to Saint Mary's to help meet the financial needs of our undergraduate and graduate students.

Create a Named Annual Scholarship

To name an annual scholarship after a loved one, a Gael you appreciate, yourself, or for another reason, a minimum annual gift of $10,000 is needed. The Advancement Office can assist you in the creation of your named annual scholarship, and some preferences can be included to match your philanthropic spirit with Saint Mary's mission-based scholarship priorities.

Create an Named Endowed Scholarship

To name an endowed scholarship after a loved one, a Gael you appreciate, for yourself, or for another reason, a minimum gift of $50,000 is needed to establish an unrestricted endowed fund based on our students' financial needs. The Advancement Office can assist you in the creation of a restricted endowed fund, by including some preferences to match your philanthropic spirit with Saint Mary's mission-based scholarship priorities. Scholarship awards begin in the following academic year when the minimum commitment is fulfilled, and disbursements will continue in perpetuity as annual scholarship awards. Support the Alumni Legacy Scholarship

The Alumni Legacy Scholarship, sponsored by the Alumni Association Board of Directors, is for the children and grandchildren of alumni. It covers approximately 25% of the tuition costs for admitted students.
