Get the official weekly buzz about all things Saint Mary's from the SMC Bulletin. The e-newsletter goes out to all faculty, staff and students each Monday morning.
The Bulletin includes announcements from College leaders as well as news stories and information about upcoming events. Bulletin items may include hyperlinks to stories, letters or event listings posted on the Saint Mary's website (www.stmarys-ca.edu).
Submitting an Item for the Bulletin
To submit upcoming events or announcements, see our FAQs page. In some instances, you may want to provide a contact person (for example, if people need to RSVP).
Submissions should be made by Wednesday at 5 p.m., and anything submitted after the Wednesday deadline may not be included in the next Monday's bulletin.
Announcements should be brief, preferably less than 50 words. We encourage people to post longer announcements on their program's website and send us the link to include in the Bulletin.
The Bulletin will run each item once. For events, this is usually in the week that an event takes place. The earliest an event announcement will run is two weeks before the event or RSVP deadline.
Submit story ideas for the SMC Bulletin using our online submission form. Include a one-sentence description of the story idea and the names of students, staff and faculty members involved.
College Communications will contact you if we need more information about your Bulletin submission. We do not run announcements about non-College events or projects. Our office will contact you if we are not going to run an announcement you have submitted. We may edit the announcement for length, style and clarity.
