Gaels Victorious in Annual Pat Vincent Cup

November 22, 2009-- SMC got the ball rolling on Saturday when they faced Santa Barbara University in the first game of the annual Pat Vincent Cup. The Gaels gained a quick lead and never looked back. Saint Mary's executed great open field play to shutout Santa Barbara 65-0. Great performances where had by Kyle Batten and Nick Wallace.

On Sunday, all three SMC sides took the field and each were victorious. The Gael's 3rd side took the field against Santa Barbara's second side to start the day. The young Gaels were able to hold off a late comeback to win 20-19.

Afterwards, the Saint Mary's first side played Oregon State University. Again, the Gaels shutout their opponent by a score of 97-0. Great performances were seen by Joe Brophy and Tim Maupin.

To end the day, The Saint Mary's second side faced the Santa Barbara Academy team. In a tough match, the Gaels were able to come out victorious 31-29.
