Add/Drop Week

Add/Drop Week
Body
Below are details for Add/Drop week, requesting permission to waive a requisite, obtaining instructor's consent, and adding or dropping courses during add/drop week. **Note - During Drop/Add week, you must get "Add Authorization" from the instructor in order to add courses.

Add/Drop Week

During week one of both the Spring and Fall Term, students will be able to register and/or drop courses from their schedule online while logged in to GaelXpress 2.0 called 'Add/Drop Week'. (For instructions and support on how to complete these actions, click here.) Students may add and/or drop courses with no penalty during this week. During the Summer Term, add/drop will be a period of the first two days of the term.

To add a course, students will first need to contact the instructor of the course they are wanting to add to be granted add authorization through course permissions on the GaelXpress2.0 Faculty portal. Once add authorization has been provided, students should be able to self-register on GaelXpress2.0. Common challenges registering for students include Business Office restrictions, schedule conflicts, and re-attempts. For Business Office restrictions please dial 925.631.4209. In regards to re-attempting courses, please contact us so we may manually register you for courses. Please note: the following departments conduct add/drop registration internally and will need to be contacted first: Communication Writing Circle courses, Seminar courses, Business Administration courses, and some English composition courses.

To drop a course, students may self-drop by simply logging on to their GaelXpress 2.0 portal to do so.

If you are experiencing any challenges during this week feel free to contact us for support.
