The first annual Omnidawn Poetry Writing Conference will be held from June 6-9, 2019 at the beautiful Saint Mary’s College campus in Moraga, California, which is 15 miles east of San Francisco. The conference offers workshops, craft talks, and author readings. The faculty members are Victoria Chang, C. S. Giscombe, Carl Phillips, Layli Long Soldier, and Rachel Zucker. Each attendee will participate in five approximately three-hour-long workshops, one with each faculty member, with workshops limited to a maximum of 10 participants. Tuition is $900, which includes your choice of vegan/vegetarian/omnivore catered on-campus dinners. If you live locally or can stay with a local friend you can commute. Or you can stay in local hotels or stay in a private bedroom in an apartment on campus with shared kitchen and bathroom for $285. An additional night’s stay in your on campus apartment before and/or after the conference is $95 each night for the convenience of attendees who want to arrive earlier and/or leave later.
