About Our Speaker


Juan Carlos Ramos, is an R&D engineer Manager at HP, Inc. He leads a team of R&D and integration engineers and scientists to create, develop, and launch new core technologies for HP printing business.Prior to his current position, Juan Carlos worked as 3D Printing development engineer, as well as materials development for MEMS, printed-electronics, and life-sciences.Before joining HP, Juan Carlos was a staff-scientist for Solution Deposition Systems (SDS), a start-up dedicated to creating more sustainable processes to deposit conductive coatings for LED manufacturing.

Juan Carlos received his Ph.D in Materials science from a dual program between the University of Ciudad Juarez (Mexico) and the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). He was later a postdoctoral at Center for Sustainable Materials Chemistry (CSMC) in Oregon State University.

In addition to his work in R&D, Juan Carlos has been actively involved in mentoring, intra/entrepreneurship, and relationships with universities for partnerships and technology transfer. He is member of the National Committee the American Chemical Society and SACNAS Leadership Institute”.
