Pay Stub FAQs
- How do I access my Pay Stub, Vacation & Sick Leave Balances, and Faculty Stipend History online?
All employees of Saint Mary’s College have access to view this information online through GaelXpress. You can view this information anywhere you have access to the internet. - What is GaelXpress?
GaelXpress is a way for students, faculty and staff to access their Saint Mary’s information on the web.
- How secure is my information and who has access to it?
The privacy of your pay stub information is assured by the use of your personal User ID and Password. In addition, GaelXpress is a secure web site using the latest data encryption technology to protect the privacy of your personal data. The information is only accessible by authorized administrators.
- How do I get my User ID and Password?

- What if I forgot my User ID/Password or the one I have does not work?

You will be notified by email every pay day that your new pay stub is available for review. Pay stubs can be viewed at anytime from anywhere you have access to the internet.
- How long will I be able to see this pay period’s stub?
Pay stubs will be available for two years for pay periods beginning February 2007.
- What if I normally get a paper check and not direct deposit on payday?
Paper checks will still be printed and mailed to you at your current local address. An electronic version of your pay stub will also be available in GaelXpress. Direct Deposit is strongly encouraged for everyone so you don’t have to depend on the Postal Service to deliver your check.
- How do I sign up for direct deposit?
- How can I check my Vacation & Sick Leave balances?
Access to your Vacation Summary and Sick Leave balances as well as accrual rates will also be available for you to view. This is located within the GaelXpress Staff Menu under Leave Plan Summary, as shown below. (Same screen you go to access Pay Stubs)
- How do I know what stipends I am being paid for?
Stipend history is also accessed through GaelXpress within the Faculty & Staff Menus.
- Will I be able to view my W-2’s online?
Yes! W-2 statements are available to view online provided you have given your electronic consent. Please see the Electronic W-2's section of our Payroll website for more information.
