President Donahue's Message to Faculty, Staff & Students About Fall 2020

In a campus message about looking ahead to Fall 2020, President James Donahue shared that "As we navigate through the unprecedented challenges our community is facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, our decisions will continue to be informed by guidance from state and county health officials, our own College health experts, and our Lasallian mission. Our goals are threefold. First, and most important, is the health, safety, and well-being of our faculty, staff, students, families, and community. Our second goal is to do all we can to get us back to what we do best, namely, in-person instruction and providing students with a residential campus experience. " Read More.

Health & Wellness Center Update

Saint Mary's Health & Wellness Center updated the campus community that a current SMC student, who has not been on campus this semester, has been tested and confirmed positive for COVID-19. The student was tested in their hometown, self-isolated and has fully recovered. All students who are known contacts have been notified. Because the student has not been on campus, there is no risk to the general community. Read More.

President’s Emergency Fund

Saint Mary’s has launched the President’s Emergency Fund to assist SMC community members in need. Enrolled SMC students who, as a byproduct of protective measures against COVID-19, are challenged financially, have limited access to resources to support distance learning, and are facing other hardships, are eligible to apply for emergency assistance.
