Remembering the Victims of the Newtown Killings
I ask each of you to remember in your prayers the intentions of the victims and families of Newtown, Connecticut. We join them in grieving those killed in the atrocious mass killing of last Friday and praying for the whole community as it copes with this great loss.
We can also take this occasion to remember our own community, especially those who are stressed or troubled, and find ways to affirm them and each other.
I have asked Vice Provost Jane Camarillo to arrange for a communication about our own policies, procedures and practices, so we can be prepared in case of emergencies.
I have also asked that we observe a moment of silence before our athletic contest this week to remember the victims of Newtown.
May peace be with you during this holy season.
Brother Ronald Gallagher, FSC
