Ron Turner Retires After 32 Years

Ron TurnerAfter 32 years at Saint Mary's College, former alumni director, major gift fundraiser and friend to all Gaels, Ron Turner '79, will celebrate his retirement on June 26, 2015.

Ron graduated from Saint Mary's College with a B.A. in Business Administration in 1979 and began his time on staff a few years later with the Alumni Office. In 1993, he became the alumni director, leading an engaged and robust community of supporters and volunteers. His ability to develop relationships lead to his next opportunity as a major gift officer in 1996, during the College's Spirit of Saint Mary's Capital Campaign. Ron has raised millions of dollars in support of the College's mission and has continued to thrive in cultivating philanthropic relationships with alumni, parents and friends. Ron most recently is serving as development liaison to the School of Science's fundraising efforts, capping off a banner year!

In celebration of Ron's illustrious career and many achievements, Saint Mary's College will host a reception on campus on June 26, 2015, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the atrium of Br. Albert Brousseau Hall. We welcome all who wish to join Ron as he embarks on the next stage of his life.
