Saint Mary’s Welcomes Four New Board Members

"The School of Economics and Business Administration board members provide impactful advice to the strategy for our school. They are true leaders in their respected industries and bring insightful opinions and significant expertise to Saint Mary's," said Dean Zhan Li. "Our community is excited to welcome Peter Corsa, John Kruger, Alan Lowe and Matt Rogers to the advisory board."

Peter Corsa is the chief stores and operations officer for Garden Ridge Corporation, a retailer based in Dallas. Peter has held various leadership positions in the retail sector, including stints at Stuart Weitzman and Gap North America.  Peter is an alumna of Saint Mary’s MBA program and holds a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

John Kruger is the president and CEO of GCX Corporation, a specialty manufacturer for the health care industry. He received a bachelor’s of science in business administration from SMC in 1983. In addition to receiving a degree from SMC and being married to an alumnae, John’s three children are all Gaels. 

Alan Lowe is the president of company communications and commercial optical products at JDSU Corporation, an optical products and broadband communications company. Lowe holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and business economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Alan also completed the Stanford Executive Program in 1994. 

Matt Rogers is a director and senior partner at McKinsey & Company, focusing primarily on the role of technology and innovation play in restructuring markets including oil, gas, power, aerospace, and other energy and industrial companies. Matt has been serving energy and clients globally for over 25 years. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton and is married to the Honorable Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, who serves as a Federal District Court Judge in the Northern District of California.
