Saint Mary's College Professors Interviewed on Television and Radio Broadcasts About Papal Election

Saint Mary's College history professor Brother Charles Hilken was interviewed on the 11 a.m. newscast of KGO-TV on April 19 about the naming of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger as the new pope. Brother Charles also appeared on the 11 p.m. newscast of KGO-TV and the 5 p.m. newscast of KTVU-Channel 2 on April 18 about the possible contenders for the papacy.

Saint Mary's College religious studies professor Tom Poundstone appeared on the 6 p.m. newscast of KGO-TV on April 19, and was the guest on talk radio shows in Madison, Wisconsin, and Toronto, Canada, on April 20.

Saint Mary's College communications professor the Rev. Michael Russo was the guest in the 10 a.m. hour on April 15 of the Ronn Owens program on KGO Radio. Russo talked in detail about the process of selecting a new pope during the papal conclave and the possible candidates to succeed Pope John Paul II.
