Saint Mary's College Senior Gift Campaign

To give back to the community that has enriched their academic experience, this year's Senior Gift Committee has chosen to support the students who will follow in their footsteps by making the annual class gift a donation to the general scholarship fund for incoming freshmen.

"A scholarship seems the most direct way for us to help students," says senior Leah Niles, one of the campaign leaders along with senior Ashley Hawkins. Each donation will be matched 2-to-1 by several generous donors to the college, so any senior?s gift will end up being triple the original amount. Niles and Hawkins have set a goal of $4,500 for the campaign, which will run through the end of April.

Students interested in making a donation should contact Jeanne Gilpatrick of the College Development Office (925-631-8008) or look for the Senior Gift Campaign information tables set up in Dante Quad and at various campus events. Seniors should also look forward to a pizza social (date and location to be determined), where they can reflect on their contribution to the college and meet the donors who matched their gifts.
