Learn how to create bulleted and numbered lists without using <li> (or knowing what the heck that even means).
Make your way to the edit screen for a page or content type that has a "Body" section. In the body section, type your list
Highlight the entire list, and click one of the list buttons. The "Unordered list" button is for a bulleted list, and the "Ordered list" button is for a numbered list.
Admire your list! If you need to add another item to the list, simple press "Enter" or "Return" on your keyboard and add your next item. If you want to end the list, press "Enter" or "Return" on your keyboard twice.
"But I want a nested list," you say. Ok, first you need to switch to a different toolbar. In the "Text format" dropdown below the "Body" formatting area, choose "Advanced text formatting." The buttons on your WYSIWYG toolbar should change.
In your list, press "Enter" or "Return" on your keyboard to add a new item. To make this a sub-list, press the "Indent" button. Your list item should indent. Press "Enter" or "Return" on your keyboard to add another item in your sub-list. To return to the main list level, add a new item and press the "Outdent" button.
Enjoy your lists!
