Footer

Footers consist of three blocks: contact information on the left, social media channels OR related links in the middle, and the Tint Board on the right. If you choose to not put in any information in the footer, it will not show on your webpage.

Footers will appear on the following:

Left: Contact Information

Contact information can be customized for each webpage within an area. For example, within Human Resources, a different contact name and phone number may be provided for the Benefits page versus the “First 90 Days at SMC” page.

To enable this feature…

Step 1:

Click Edit on the webpage you wish to add contact information to. Navigate to Footer on the left navigation panel.

Step 2:

Format your contact information as shown in the footer screenshot. For single spacing, click Shift and Return on your keyboard at the end of each line.

Middle: Social Media

You can use this block to list up to six social media accounts. We recommend you do not include the institutional accounts (@stmarysca) since they appear in the left sidebar in every content type.

Step 1:

On the Edit screen, navigate to Social Media Footer on the left navigation panel.

Step 2:

The system separates each social media channel (Youtube, Twitter, etc.). Enter the title and URL for each desired channel. Click Publish.

Middle: Related Links

If you do not want to connect to social media accounts, you can choose Related Links for the middle block.

Step 1:

On the Edit screen, select Footer.

Step 2:

Navigate to Related Links in the middle of the page.

Step 3:

Enter your desired title under Title. Examples could be “Related Links” or “More Information.”

Step 4:

For each link, add a Title and the URL. If you want the new link to open in a new window, check the box.

Step 5:

Add up to six related links by selecting Add Another Item and completing its title and URL. Once finished, click Publish.

Right: Tint Board Pop-up

Tint boards are special platforms that display a social media feed. You can utilize an existing Tint Board (Office of College Communications, School of Economics and Business Administration, Undergraduate Admissions or Advancement) in the final block. Please contact OCC for the special code, photo and title to complete the process.

Step 1:

On the Edit screen, select Footer and navigate to the right block toward the bottom of the screen.

Step 2:

Enter the Title, which is the social media account tag, provided by OCC.

Step 3:

Upload the photo provided by the OCC. Learn how to upload photos in this Salli Tutorial.

Step 4:

Copy and paste the special code given by the OCC into the Tint Code box. Click Publish.
