Scholarship Support in Action - Shelby Solomon '13

Shelby Solomon '13Shelby Solomon is a sophomore at Saint Mary’s and is taking advantage of opportunities both in and outside the classroom.  This Honors Program student with a major in psychology enjoys connecting directly with her professors.  She is currently vice president of the Psychology Club and will be president in her junior year.  She joined the Boxing Club—something she never would have tried had Saint Mary’s not encouraged her to branch out, try new things, and establish herself as a leader.  Shelby also has volunteered on campus for Carnival 4 Kids and with a project to assemble water purification devices for third world countries.  Thanks to the Class of 1950 Millennium Endowed Scholarship, she is pursuing her dream of becoming a forensic psychologist.  “I am so thankful for this scholarship.  I look forward to contributing to Saint Mary’s in the future because I know how much it helps.”
