A Message from the Dean

This academic year, the Saint Mary's Community has faced an unprecedented number of challenges and disruptions: wildfires, power outages, drought, food insecurity, and now a worldwide pandemic! Through all of this our faculty and staff have met these challenges with grace, efficiency, and dedication.

SEBA has been actively listening to our various constituents and stakeholders: students, faculty, staff, alumni, employers and our corporate partners, asking what we can do to make this challenging time easier.

Specifically, the School of Economics and Business Administration team has been at the forefront of providing and delivering high-quality, face-to-face online classes for both our undergraduate and graduate students in order for them to stay on track with their educational goals. I can proudly say, I have seen our team rise to the occasion and am excited about the possibilities and opportunities to advance these skills and learning to enhance and improve the SEBA education experience for all our students.

The feedback on our work from our students has been extremely positive. And consistent with the Lasallian values of Saint Mary's, the College has put into place a President's Emergency Fund specifically for students who have been directly impacted by recent events.

As much of our lives have become socially distant with online work, distance learning and various virtual gatherings, we seek to continue to grow our community and come together as Gaels during this time. In continuing the SEBA tradition of innovation and lifelong learning, SEBA will be moving a number of student and alumni events to new platforms as a way to continue to grow our Gael community and spirit.

We want you to know that your time, input, and talents have great value for SEBA and are essential to a shared goal of continued business education excellence.

In the meantime, please know we remain grateful to you for your steadfast support of SEBA and send our sincere wishes for good health to you and your family.
