A Message from the Dean: Response to Shelter In Place

With the constantly changing COVID-19 situation around the world, this is an unprecedented time for everyone — a time filled with uncertainty, especially those making decisions about graduate business school.

Saint Mary’s School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA) is committed to our mission to serve our students during these challenging times.

In order to continue to deliver the highest quality instruction, we are moving all our classes for the Spring Quarter 100% online

Educating students online is nothing new to us in SEBA.

We use live, virtual classrooms via Zoom technology that replicates the in-person, classroom experience.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely through the rest of the quarter, to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and faculty.

As a leader in hybrid graduate business education, most of our graduate degree programs already have an online component.

Since 2006, with the launch of the Bay Area’s first hybrid Executive MBA, a majority of our faculty have been trained to administer classes online. Since then, our online hybrid programs have been recognized as some of the best.

In 2014, we pioneered the Digital Driver’s License (DDL) certification program aimed at preparing educators on how to effectively engage and interact with students during online teaching. It was recognized by the AACSB accreditation body with the ‘Innovations that Inspire’ award.

Furthermore, we use the #1 online meeting technology provider, Zoom, to host our online meeting spaces, providing a globally recognized standard to conduct our virtual classes live.

We have dedicated IT support that is available to faculty, staff, and students to assist if the need arises.

Feel confident knowing we have both the experience and quality in delivering your educational needs online.

If you have any questions or concerns please call (925) 631-4888 or email us:

We look forward to seeing you (online) in the Spring Quarter.
