SF Chronicle Profiles Poetry Collection By MFA Program Assoc. Director Sara Mumolo

SF Chronicle Datebook logoThe Datebook section of the San Francisco Chronicle spotlights Day Counter,  a new collection of poetry by Sara Mumolo, MFA Poetry '09. The book is the latest work from the Saint Mary’s alumna and associate director for the MFA in Creative Writing program at the College. The article says that Mumolo’s new collection “reads like a series of diary entries cataloguing a life. In these poems, a Bay Area mother juggles marriage, new motherhood, poetry and a full-time job. “12 months, 2 weeks, and 3 days: submit” illustrates how these responsibilities compete for the speaker’s limited energy and time.” Mumolo’s previous poetry collections includes the book Mortar and her poems have appeared in a variety of notable publications. Read the review.
