S.F Chronicle publishes Prof. Steve Woolpert's critique of the President's power to pardon himself

Prof. Woolpet explains why a self-pardon is contrary to the universally understood meaning of the term “pardon.” It also violates core principles of our legal heritage: that no one should be a judge in his/her own case; that the United States is a nation of laws, not people; and that the president is not above the law.
