July 9, 2008--Wellington, New Zealand
Recent SMC graduate, rugby All-American and All-Star Kevin Swiryn, has been given yet another honor. This time, it was awarded by his coaches and fellow attendees at the International Rugby Academy of New Zealand (IRANZ) High Performance camp.
Swiryn was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the three-week IRANZ camp, winning the Jason Eaton Award. He was also selected as vice-captain of the team, and became the first American-born player to earn that distinction.
