Description:
Professors Maria Luisa Ruiz (World Languages; Director, Institute of Latino and Latin American Studies), Denise Witzig (Women's & Gender Studies), Alvaro Ramirez (ILaLS and World Languages), and Frances Sweeney (World Languages) explore the reasons Sor Juana was called the “tenth muse” in her own time, and “first feminist of the Americas” in ours.
