Locked out of your room?

If you are locked out of your room, please stop by the Campus Housing Office in Ferroggiaro Hall 200 Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30pm. Campus Housing will provide you with a loaner key for 24 hours so that you may retrieve your key from your room.

Students locked out for the first time each term comes at no charge. After a student's first lockout, a $25 charge will be assessed for every lockout.

Students who fail to return their loaner key within 24 hours will be assessed a $50 lost key charge.

Locked out after 4:30 pm Monday - Friday? Please contact your RA or Campus Safety.

Locked out on the weekend? Please contact your RA or Campus Safety.

You can rely on our Campus Safety Department day and night and in times of emergency. Campus Safety can be contacted at 925-631-4282. If you are looking for ways to get involved, visit the Office of Community Life or the Center for Women and Gender Equity (men included!) to learn how student leaders support health and safety at SMC. We also have a comprehensive set of policies and procedures for large-scale emergency planning. We believe student safety starts at the student level, so we want you to join in.
