Gallery 160 is dedicated to showcasing the work of SMC students. Through coursework and collaborations with visiting artists and art faculty, students have the opportunity to exhibit their work as they develop their own artistic style. Art majors exhibit capstone projects every semester.
Student Gallery 160 Presents:
"OK" By Laura Minorsky
April 15- May 6th
The Gallery Exhibition team is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of artwork created by Laura Minorsky. Entitled OK, it has ten 14" by 17" ink and paper pieces that explore society's warped view on mental disorders. Laura Minorsky uses her work to demonstrate a raw perspective from the subject's psyche.

TAKE A STAND Art Exhibit
Date & Time: Wednesday, May 11, 2016 - 1:00pm to Monday, May 16, 2016 1:00pm
TAKE A STAND will include student’s artwork regarding politically charged issues seen throughout the globe, but also as an interactive piece in which students are given a platform to take a stand. Participating students will be given a “check all that apply” template for a letter addressing whatever governing body they wish to address about whatever issues they feel need addressing. At the end of the show letters will be given to the governing bodies the students letters address. Talking about issues and actually taking a stand on them are two vastly different things. One is an idea, the other is a plan. With our exhibit we hope to create a plan to fix these issues. Please join us for the opening reception on April 11th from 1-230pm.
