The Gaels Came Out Strong

On Saturday, the women's rugby team had an exiting game against Sac State. The Gaels came in strong and worked hard, but the match consistently went back and forth. Thanks to incredible team work and communication from each player, the Gaels were able to prevail. Both backs and forwards worked their hardest, proving how much progress they are making. With the help of her team, Michelle Weir lead the Gaels in tries, completing 5, all together, and Kiki Saunders gained one try, breaking through Sac State's solid defense. The victory was greatly aided by Chanel Farago making 5 conversions. Sac State put up a difficult fight, but the Gaels pulled through with a 40 to 30 win! Be sure to come out and support the Gaels as they take on the University of Nevada on Saturday, February 8th here at home!
