The University of Houston-Victoria Names Finalists for Presidency
Saint Mary's College alumnus Gregory Aloia '68 is among five finalists for the University of Houston-Victoria presidency, reported the Victoria Advocate. Aloia, who has been dean of the College of Education at Florida Atlantic University since 2001, is a professor of special education who previously served as graduate dean and associate vice president for research at Illinois State University.
Aloia has a doctorate in special education from the University of California at Riverside. He received a bachelor's degree in history from Saint Mary's College and earned his teaching credentials from San Francisco State University.
