TASC offers FREE one on one and group tutoring for almost all undergraduate courses.
If you are an undergraduate, simply log into ConexEd using your SMC credentials. If your class schedule conflicts with the tutoring times or if you don't see your class listed, fill out the form and we will work to accomodate your request.

Center for Writing Across the Curriculum "CWAC" is offered on a regular basis in conjuction with the English Department throughout each semester. These drop-in and scheduled sessions are designed to assist students at any stage of the writing process (i.e. brainstorming, mapping/connecting ideas, formulating thesis statements, outlining, etc.).
The S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Center is offered on a regular basis for Math and Science tutoring and assistance throughout each semester. These sessions support all math and science courses offered at SMC, located in Assumption 200.
Individual assistance and workshops are offered for students to complement their study efforts by exploring techniques and strategies in areas such as goal setting, time management, note-taking, test-taking, information processing, memory, and reading comprehension. If you are a returning tutor, you may sign up to tutor by calling Collin to get a tutor application and provide updated availability. We will assign new tutees to you as soon as students request help in the courses which you tutor.

Tutors are SMC students with at least a 3.0 (B) GPA in the subject(s) they tutor. Selection of tutors is based on their strong academic record, faculty recommendations, completion of tutor training, and interview. Every effort is made to attract tutors who are sensitive and have strong interpersonal skills.
