Only open canopies are to be used on Graduation Reception sites. There are specific guidelines established by the Moraga Fire Department that govern the use of canopies during the receptions.
A canopy larger than 20’ X 20’ must have a Moraga Fire Department permit.
Under no circumstances may canopies be spiked or nailed into the ground since sprinkler systems and electrical systems crisscross the entire lawn areas of campus.
Only water drums may be used to hold up canopies.
It is imperative that you notify any vendors you contract with about these regulations in advance.
