Virtual Watershed Explorer Curriculum Workshop

The Center for Environmental Literacy and River of Words team would like to invite you to our first Virtual Watershed Explorer Curriculum Workshop

The Center for Environmental Literacy Co-Director, Luz Casquejo Johnston -- Assistant Professor, Teacher Education in the Kalmanovitz School of Education at Saint Mary's College of California -- will be holding a 1 hour webinar surrounding our Watershed Explorer Curriculum and the River of Words program. 

The workshop will be held on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18th at 11AM PST online via Zoom, a virtual classroom, free video conferencing platform. Please note that the time of the event will vary depending on your time zone ( i.e. 11AM PST is 2PM EST).

Topics for discussion will include:

  •  How to incorporate the Watershed Explorer's Curriculum in your classroom
  •  How to integrate Arts and Environmental Education and Common Core Standards
  •  How to connect Art, Creative Writing, and Earth Justice
  •  What activities will bring Nature into the classroom and the class out into Nature
  •  What tools are needed to improve these methods in the future
  •  How to build a school network surrounding Environmental Literacy
