Wall Street Journal Story "Our Thirst for Oil: A Deeper Dive," Touts Professor Myrna Santiago's Book

A Wall Street Journal article about the nation's thirst for oil features recommendations of books on the topic by experts on the oil industry. Tyler Priest, a University of Houston professor and expert on offshore oil and gas development in the Gulf of Mexico, suggests "The Ecology of Oil: Environment, Labor, and the Mexican Revolution, 1900-1938," written by Saint Mary's College professor Myrna Santiago. Priest said Santiago's book is the definitive analysis of the 1908 Dos Bocas blowout at San Diego de la Mar near Tampico, the previous record holder for the worst oil spill and fire in history.
