Story by Michael Boele

This year promises to be very active for all alumni. With the assistance of the alumni office and board, it is my goal to reconnect alumni with the greatest franchise on the planet, Saint Mary's College of California.

Events are being planned around the country by your local Alumni Association chapter. Stay tuned for events in your community, and if you would like to plan an event with other SMC alums in your area, contact Lloyd Schine, director of Alumni Relations.

The biggest campus event this fall is Inauguration Week, September 19-24, the highlight of which will be the inauguration of Brother Ronald Gallagher, FSC, as the newest president of Saint Mary's College. See the calendar of events or the alumni Web site at www.stmarys-ca.edu/alumni for all events this fall, including wine tastings in August, the Giants vs. the Dodgers at SBC Park in September, the annual Dine with Alums dinner in October; and the Alumni Awards Dinner and Faculty Fellowship Awards in November.

I look forward to meeting many of you and serving you throughout this next year. Go Gaels!
