KCBS Radio, KTVU-TV turn to Prof. Hisham Ahmed for insight into what's next for Libya after Gadhafi's death

Prof. Hisham Ahmed interviewed by KTVU

Both KCBS Radio and KTVU-TV news interviewed Saint Mary's Politics Professor Hisham Ahmed about the death of Col. Moammar Gadhafi, the former leader of Libya who ruled the country with an iron fist for 42 years.  A professor of politics, Ahmed is a leading authority on Islamic movements, and is able to speak broadly about politics in the Middle East. In both interviews he observes that Libya is at a critical stage and the nation's new government, the National Transitional Council (NTC) must ensure that outside fundmentalist forces, such as al Queda, don't take root in the country.
