Financial Preparedness

We understand a lot goes into preparing for the start of the semester, especially when it comes to finances. During this session, the Dean of Financial Aid and your Financial Aid counselors answer questions regarding scholarships, loans, grants, or other financial topics.

Billing and Payment Options

Once you have all your questions answered by Financial Aid, the next stop is our Business Office which offers payment options for students and their families. Learn how to set up a payment plan, how to add a contributor, or who to address a check to.

Housing: Live, Learn and Connect!

Housing is available and open to students starting in the spring semester. If you would like to live on-campus, make sure to submit your housing application as soon as possible. At this session, Campus Housing answers questions about the housing application, room selection/placement, and COVID-related housing policies.

Personalized Academic Planning

Preparing for the start of the semester includes registering for classes. At Saint Mary's, our Advising Office helps students register for their first semester of classes. Once you submit your final transcripts and complete your Pre-enrollment Questionnaire, our faculty advisors will create a class schedule based on your preferences and academic pursuits. At this session, you will be able to ask these advisors questions about majors, minors, the Core Curriculum, transfer credits, the registration process, and more about your academic life at SMC.

As we get closer to the start of the semester, Dean of Students, Evette Castillo Clark, and Assistant Director of Residential Experience, Samantha Alberto, answer questions about what to expect upon arriving on campus.
