To be considered for all available forms of financial aid, a student applying for aid for the academic year will need to file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
- The FAFSA is available online at fafsa.gov. This form will require basic financial information about the student and his/her family. There is no fee for the processing of this form. Please note that Saint Mary's code is 001302. Our priority deadlines: For new students Feb. 15 and for continuing students March 2.
- Some families will be selected for the verification process by FAFSA. In these cases, the IRS Deta Retrieval Tool must be used on FAFSA or an IRS Tax Return Transcript must be ordered. The Student Aid Report, received by students in response to the FAFSA, will indicate the student's selection for the verification process. If any changes are made this may affect the student's award letter.
- The GPA Verification Form, required by the California Student Aid Commission for students applying for the Cal Grant Programs, will be available in high school guidance offices and online. This form should be completed and submitted to the Commission according to the instructions on the form by the state-determined deadline (March 2).
